The lyrics were written by singer/songwriter Eddie Crowe and the music and arrangements done by lead guitarist and bandleader Bobby 'Blue' Perry. The group also reached top ten status with 3 other tunes, including a rousing rendition of The Nighthawks classic, "Too Tall To Mambo". "We wanted to pay homage to one of our favorite bands that has been doing it a long time now, just with our own twist to the song", Perry said between his and Crowe's laughter. "Ironically, I've never had the pleasure of hearing The Nighthawks original version of Too Tall. When I told that to Mark Wenner he just laughed with me".
